Case Study: Visilo Apartments — A Direct-Booking Site Powered by Rentijer

The Goal

Visilo Apartments runs two very different properties on the Dalmatian coast — modern apartments in Split's historic old town and Visilo Heritage House, a restored stone house on Brač Island — and wanted guests booking directly with them instead of exclusively through Airbnb, so they keep the booking instead of paying an OTA commission on it.

What We Built

We built a fast Next.js 16 site presenting both properties and wired it to Rentijer, our own property management platform, so the availability shown on the site is the same live calendar Rentijer keeps in sync across every booking channel.

• Live availability, always current: calendars pull straight from Rentijer's channel sync, so a booking made anywhere blocks the same dates everywhere else automatically.
• Direct booking by default: every CTA sends guests to book directly, keeping the reservation — and the commission Airbnb or Booking.com would otherwise take — with the owner.
• Two properties, one fast site: the modern Split apartments and the heritage stone house on Brač sit cleanly on a single Next.js 16 / React 19 site, with security patched on an ongoing basis — we shipped a fix for a React Server Components CVE within days of disclosure.

The Result

Visilo now runs its own direct-booking channel on the same engine we built for the wider market — Rentijer — instead of depending on Airbnb for every guest. We haven't isolated the exact direct-vs-OTA booking split yet; that's the next number worth tracking.
